Since this time, Lateral Sands has established an excellent reputation for delivering SOCASICFPGA design and verification services to companies based predominantly in Silicon Valley. Early in 2005, Lateral Sands acquired a fellow Australianbased microelectronics design firm, SMR Electronics founded in 1993 to expand its client base and engineering resources. The Lateral Sands Group has an Australian office in Perth, Western Australia and a US office in Sunnyvale, California.
